2. Tate Britian + Textual (RCA)

Interactive print-based installation
5 April 2025, Tate Britian Clore Studio

As part of Textual, a group project led by Eilis Searson at the Royal College of Art, this one-day event was held at Tate Britain. The project reinterpreted the Tate's public records through a contemporary lens, inviting the public to engage with archival material in an open and participatory way.

Textual is a collaborative initiative by 22 Visual Communication students at the RCA, directed by Eilis Searson.
Referencing the original Tate luncheon buffet menu—once composed of traditional British food—the project drew inspiration from the period’s handwriting and color palette.

This historical aesthetic was used to create a new, speculative menu that asked visitors to write their own version of a modern-day luncheon buffet. Through this gesture, the project bridged past and present, inviting reflection on institutional identity, personal taste, and public memory.
